Article: They Want Masks Permanently: MLB Spending Millions on Mask Compliance Surveillance AI

The inside baseball on masks and lockdowns are that they’re here to stay.

Major league baseball team owners are spending millions on surveillance systems to identify people not wearing masks at taxpayer-funded stadiums.  David Knight points out that this is yet another sign that the lockdown is here to stay.

On 8/12/2020’s show David Knight reports,  “Let me tell you what the really ominous news is, here’s a story from Bloomberg about major league baseball teams exploring the potential for using cameras to detect fans who are not wearing a mask at the games.  Why is this ominous?  You’re not going to spend tens of millions of dollars on surveillance equipment if you don’t expect this to continue.”

“They’re not going to let go of these masks, we’ve had numerous indications of that.  We’ve had Google saying ‘we’re going to have everyone working from their homes until well into 2021’, Yesterday Fauci was saying ‘we’re going to have the vaccine but we don’t know if it’s going to work or not, so we’re going to have the masks for years, we’re just going to have to keep those masks.’  It’s a tool of control and compliance and they’re not going to get rid of that.”  Knight explained

Bloomberg reports, “Several Major League Baseball teams have held talks with a California startup called Airspace Systems Inc. that develops technology to detect whether people are wearing face masks”

Knight noted,  “The owners of these stadiums and teams are people with a lot of money and a lot of inside information.  They’re investing tens of millions of dollars in mass surveillance because they know this is going to be around for a while.”

“They want to make sure that once they let a few people in they’ll be able to control them.  Some rowdy baseball fans refuse to wear shirts so they can paint their bodies in the colors of the team they idolize.  So how are you going to get these people to wear face masks?   They have an A.I. that’s already being used by the military, they’re in talks to bring this to stadiums and airports.”

“This A.I. will allow them to leverage the limited resource of people willing to enforce their excessive rules.  It will focus excessive force into the hands of the few who are willing to use it to enforce excessive regulations.”  Concluded Knight.
