The Democrats are preparing every ‘arrow in their quiver’ to prevent Trump from nominating a replacement for Ginsburg. No matter how unconstitutional, illegal, or unethical the tactics. As AOC said, “all of these options should be entertained and on the table”.
On 9/21/2020’s show, David Knight reports, “Let’s take a look at the supreme shenanigans coming up with this Ginsburg replacement. The Democrats, as ABC News is correctly pointing out, have limited options to stop Trump from replacing Ginsburg. The President nominates, the Senate confirms, and Republicans have a 53 to 47 majority in the Senate. There have been 19 election years where a Supreme Court Justice has been up for replacement while one party was in control of both the Presidency and the Senate, they got a confirmation 17 of those 19 times.”
“A Canadian constitutional law professor said after RBG died, ‘Burn Congress down before letting Trump try to appoint anyone to SCOTUS’. When you can’t win you resort to anarchy, that’s what these people are all about. You can do this type of thing, you can threaten to burn down Congress, or say we need to kill the police or whatever and they’re not going to bother you at all on social media. He’s not going to get any legal charges against him and he’s not even going to get any Twitter jail,” continued Knight.
“It’s not just him, Michael Moore is urging Pelosi to shut down the government.”
“In an interview with Pelosi, George Stephanopoulos pressed her, saying, ‘Some have mentioned the possibility if they try to push through a nominee in a lame-duck session that you and the House can move to impeach President Trump or Attorney General Barr as a way of stalling and preventing the Senate from acting on this nomination.'”
Pelosi responded, “Well, we have our options. We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now,”
Knight remarks that “AOC didn’t have any problem discussing them, when asked about that very thing AOC said, ‘We must consider all the tools available to our disposal, and that all of these options should be entertained and on the table.'”
Knight comments, “Basically, they’ll do anything they can, even things they can’t do legally or ethically.”
“The satire from Babylon Bee isn’t too far off, their headline is ‘Democrats Reveal They Have Planted Dynamite All Around Nation And Will Blow It Up If Biden Isn’t Elected’. That’s basically true of both the election and the Supreme Court nomination.”
“This election is going to be all about the lawyers. It’s going to be about contesting everything, nobody’s going to believe the result on either side. They would love to have an even number of justices there so they could hang even that and keep this going.”
“Then it gets even worse, Eric Holder is saying ‘if we don’t win and get who we want on the Supreme Court then we’ll just add more Supreme Court justices’. They don’t have any ethical, legal, or constitutional restraints on them whatsoever.”
“It’s going to be interesting to see what happens but don’t take your focus away from the fact that we’ve had the Constitution suspended and are basically under martial law” for 189 days.
“We’re electing presidents and hoping that they can put the right person in, we don’t know what we’re going to get. We’ve had a very mixed record with Republicans, Democrats always get what they want. There’s no shortage of thoroughly statist career bureaucrats who ignore the Constitution. The Democrats know they’re going to get someone like that, they can’t miss in that target-rich environment. But if you’re a Republican and you want someone who’s going to support life, liberty, and the law, well, good luck with that,” concluded Knight.
