It began in China, it’s destroyed our freedom, our economy, and taken even small comforts that we took for granted. It’s the lockdown. The excuse tyrants in governments around the world needed to seize power.
One such tyrant is the Taoiseach (Prime Minister appointed by the President) of Ireland, Micheál Martin. Across the 10 million-strong population of Ireland, there have been 3 deaths alleged to have been caused by COVID in the last week. This was enough for Martin to enact ‘Level 5 of the framework for living with COVID-19’. Which means Irish adults will be restricted to staying within 3 miles of their homes. Irish children will still be going to schools though.
Martin begins his press conference saying, “So many of the things that cheer us, that we took for granted, have been taken from us. The reality of this terrible disease is that, when we give it opportunities to spread, it spreads. And when it spreads it consumes large parts of our daily lives and whole sections of the economy.”
David Knight commented on 10/22/2020’s show, “See, it’s not the government that’s doing it, it’s the virus. It’s not the central banks, it’s the virus.”
Martin continued, “Many people have done everything that has been asked of them, but some have not.”
“There are others who argue for a herd immunity approach, that we should let the virus run its course, and that the economy is too important for any more restrictions. This implies that we should accept higher levels of illness and death and it ignores the deadly long-term effects of the virus on many people. The government will not be taking this approach,” said Martin.
Knight remarks, “That’s right this government has decided that they will revoke Farr’s Law that’s been in place since 1840. Every epidemic obeys it, it doesn’t matter if you follow their lockdown rules or not, Farr’s Law is still in effect. They can’t repeal that any more than they could repeal the law of gravity.”
Martin went on to say, “It is my firm belief that the core responsibility of your government, and your Taoiseach (Prime Minister), is to protect lives and to protect public health. While also protecting your livelihoods and supporting the larger economy.”
Knight declares, “This is the key point that needs to be opposed. This picture of government that they’re selling is the basis for tyranny. He asserts that the primary role of government is to keep you safe so they remove all risk, which means removing all free activity. To announce laws immediately without any discussion, review, input, or appeal. This is the very definition of tyranny and it’s where we are if you accept that the role of government is to keep you safe. It’s what we’ve all been told since 9/11.”
Martin proceeded to say, “We work to suppress the virus when it is growing and we work to reopen as much of our society and economy as possible when it is safe to do so. Until we have a safe vaccine, we must continue in that pattern. This is the reality in the rest of the world and it is, unfortunately, the reality here.”
“For a period of six weeks, from midnight Wednesday, the entire country will move to Level 5 of the framework for living with COVID-19.”
“It is the view of government, supported by the advice of NPHET, that our schools and childcare services should remain open. This is necessary because we cannot and will not allow our children and young people’s future to be another victim of this disease. They need their education,” said Martin.
Knight asks, “Wait a minute, if they’re going to get sick and die, isn’t that going to affect their future? How do you get your head around this kind of cognitive dissonance? ‘If we don’t lock everyone down we’ll be risking illness and death but that’s ok because the schools are more important.’
And let me tell you, the government-run school system really is more important to these people. Because what we’re talking about here is the future of tyranny. The future of tyranny is secured by the brainwashing of children in government schools at the earliest possible age.”
Martin wrapped up the conference by saying, “I understand, and I feel very personally and profoundly, the sense of disappointment, the feelings of loneliness, perhaps even the despair, that this announcement will bring for many.
“If we pull together in the next six weeks, we will have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas in a meaningful way.”
“It won’t be the same Christmas we’ve celebrated in years past. But if we all pull together and follow the spirit of these new rules, it will be a very special time and give us some respite from the hardships of these last seven months. If each of us does what is asked of us for just the next six weeks, we will suppress this virus, and we will emerge from these restrictions on the 1st of December. Our journey through these next few weeks and months will not be easy, but our future is in our hands,” concluded Martin.
He ends with a false hope of Christmas that echoes the “2 weeks to flatten the curve” lie that started all this. Martin interspersed his speech with statements like ‘some have not done their part’, ‘this will be the reality until we have a vaccine’, and ‘IF YOU FOLLOW THE RULES Christmas will be a special time’.
It’s true that “It won’t be the same Christmas”. It’s also true that “our future is in our hands”. The only question is, will you accept the spread of tyranny or will you fight back?
